France Expects Ambitious Reforms from Lebanon

France, like all partners of the international support group, expects far-reaching and ambitious reforms from the Lebanese authorities, especially in terms of economic transparency and financial sustainability, the fight against corruption and the independence of the judiciary, the Foreign Ministry of the country reports. Reforms should be carried out in a spirit of responsibility and in the common interests of all Lebanese, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. Paris reiterates its commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty, stability and security. Recall, on February 11, 2020, the Parliament of Lebanon approved the ministerial declaration of the new government.
