Number of coronavirus cases in Iran increased to 43
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus rose to 43 in Iran. This was announced on February 23 by the official representative of the Ministry of Health of Iran Kianush Jahanpur on the air of IRINN TV channel. According to Jahanpur, 15 other people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Iran. Seven people from Kuma, four from Tehran, two from Gilyan Province, and one each from Markazi Province and Tonekabon City are among those who fell ill. Of these 15 patients, three died. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country reached 43, including eight deaths. The first case of infection was found in the city of Kum, where Shia Muslims make pilgrimage. Most of those who fell ill with coronavirus are either residents of the city or have recently traveled there. It is believed that one of the deaths from the disease caused by coronavirus, a resident of the city of Kum, arrived in his homeland from China the day before, where the hotbed of the disease is located. Earlier, the news agency reported that, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education, the country has everything necessary to take measures to counter the coronavirus outbreak.
