Russian directors nominated for opera Oscar

Performances of Russian directors Dmitry Chernyakov and Andrei Zholdak are nominated for the title of best performance in the international Opera Awards, which is also called opera Oscar. According to the portal Theatre, the Fairy Tale about Tsar Saltan Dmitry Chernyakov, staged in the Belgian theatre La Monnaie, and Charodeik Andrei Zholdak (Lyon Opera) are named among the favorites of the prestigious opera prize. In addition, Russian singers Vasilis Berzhanskaya (mezzo-soprano) and Lydia Friedman (soprano) will fight for the title of the best young performer. Kirill Petrenko, music director of the Bavarian State Opera, was nominated for the Opera Awards as best conductor. Russian performers Anna Netrebko and Ildar Abdrazakov are also presented in the nomination of the choice of readers of Opera magazine. You can vote for them online.
