Number of victims of collapse of hotel building in China increased to 13

A total of 52 people were recovered from the rubble of a collapsed hotel building in Fujian province in eastern China, Xinhua news agency reported on March 10. The number of victims of the collapse at 20:00 in Beijing on March 9 increased to 13. At the place of collapse under the rubble there were 71 people. A preliminary investigation revealed that the hotel building was decorated at the time of the accident. The owner of the building was interested in police officers. The building covers 7,000 square meters on the floor, its construction began in 2013, and in 2018 it was converted into a hotel with 66 rooms.
