Deaths from COVID-19 are declining in Southeast Asia


The number of COVID-19 deaths in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries is slowing, Sindonews reports. In 24 hours, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in the region decreased. While 70 deaths from coronavirus in the region were identified on 20 April, this number decreased to 39 on 21 April. In addition, according to a report by Johns Hopkins University, there has been a slight increase in the number of coronavirus tests conducted in ASEAN. Over the past 24 hours, more than 82,000 tests have been conducted in the region, with a total of 685,594 tests conducted. 31,818 cases of infection have been identified in the region, Johns Hopkins University said in a statement. According to the news agency, Indonesia's Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi, had previously advocated access to medical equipment, medicines and COVID-19 vaccine for developing countries.
