Lists of candidates for elections to the Riga Duma can be submitted from July 14 - CEC

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Latvia published on its website an announcement that representatives of the parties of the country will be able to submit lists of candidates for extraordinary elections to the Riga Duma from July 14 to July 20. About it writes on May 3 portal Tvnet.lv. Journalists note that the list of candidates should be submitted to the Riga Election Commission. By July 30, the Department of Citizenship and Migration Affairs of Latvia will inform each voter to which polling station he is attached. From July 30 to August 15, they will have the opportunity to change the site to a more convenient one. We remind that elections to the Riga Duma will be held on August 29. Preliminary voting will become available from August 26. Citizens of Latvia over 18 years of age, as well as European Union citizens who declared their place of residence in Riga, may take part in the elections. People born in Latvia but with non-citizen status are deprived of the right to vote and will not be able to vote.
