As a result of the collapse of the banquet hall, 21 women among 29 dead died. Search and rescue operations were completed at 3:32 local time of the following days. A total of 57 people were removed from the rubble of a two-story building. Seven people were seriously injured, another 21 people were slightly injured. The lives of the seven seriously injured are not in danger. Currently, the authorities are investigating the causes of the incident. The Working Security Committee of the State Council of the PRC works on the spot, which will monitor the progress of the investigation. Other public buildings are being inspected in Shanxi Province.
